About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to provide customer service at its Florence, South Carolina location. The role works as part of a supportive team, assists customers with U-Haul products and services, and helps ensure equipment is inspected and maintained. Representatives use technology to dispatch and return equipment and receive on-the-job education, including ongoing training through U-Haul University. The posting offers paid hands-on working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus upon completing the U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification certification program. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer customer questions and explain products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
