Customer Service Representative - Order Desk

About The Position

Customer Service Representatives assist retail, contractor, fabricator, and wholesale customers by providing information about products, including availability, pricing, applications, limitations, and installation recommendations. The role handles order entry, purchase order processing and receiving, freight quotes, and customer follow-up. As a liaison between Bedrosians and its customers, the representative builds relationships, communicates clearly, provides attentive service, and resolves issues with win/win solutions. The position requires an energetic, enthusiastic, positive, and detail-oriented approach. In some smaller locations, duties may overlap with those of Warehouse Associates or Showroom Sales Representatives.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Excellent email and computer skills.

Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and perseverance.
Possess a flexible work schedule.

Nice To Haves

Prior customer service experience.
Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Work cooperatively in a team environment.
Greet and assist customers with product selections and follow through on their orders.
Enter orders, follow up on back-orders, invoice orders, and follow proper pick-up procedures.
Answer phone inquiries, including taking orders over the phone.
Assist with stock checks, pricing, freight quotes, and order processing.
Process purchase orders and receivings for product lines.
Develop a basic understanding of design and color.
Resolve customer service issues.
Multitask and prioritize work through effective time management.
Maintain a neat and organized workspace.
Work within the company's policies, procedures, goals, and directives.
Perform other duties required by the position.
At some smaller locations, learn current and new product lines and assist with warehouse tasks, including pulling, packing, strapping, staging, unloading, shipping, and receiving, while following safety protocols.
