About The Position

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) works in person at a Check Into Cash store in Saginaw, Michigan, helping customers access financial services and providing a positive in-store experience. The role builds relationships with a diverse customer base and processes transactions such as check cashing, money transfers, and customer payments. The company provides hands-on training, coaching, and development, with opportunities for career advancement across its brands. The position pays $15.00 per hour and includes a full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week, regular in-person attendance, and weekend work. Store schedules and minimum hours may vary by brand and may be changed by the company. The role may also involve duties outside the store, such as vehicle appraisals, errands, and external marketing, where applicable.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional demeanor with customers and colleagues.
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to enter data accurately.
Proficiency with phones, POS systems, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
Must pass a background check, conducted and considered in accordance with applicable law.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including frequently remaining stationary and standing for up to 90% of the time; moving and transporting up to 25 pounds; moving inside and outside the store; and operating mechanical controls such as a keyboard.

Nice To Haves

Experience in check cashing, document verification, and/or money order processing.
Prior cash handling and cash drawer or vault management experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish ability; may be required for certain locations.
Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a personal vehicle for use throughout the workday; mileage is compensated.

Responsibilities

Connect with customers and cultivate lasting relationships that encourage repeat business.
Review, validate, and process customer transactions accurately.
Offer personalized financial services to support customer success.
Enter and maintain customer information accurately and with integrity in a Point of Sale (POS) system.
Build new business by completing daily call campaigns.
Assist with customer account management and collections by accepting payments and managing appointments.
Perform duties outside the office where applicable, including on-site vehicle appraisals, store errands, and external marketing.
Participate in in-store and community events.
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the store.
Follow security protocols and perform opening and closing procedures, including vault and cash drawer management as needed.
Comply with company policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Participate in ongoing training and stay current on product and process changes.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet individual and team performance standards.
Perform additional tasks as directed by leadership.
Maintain a full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week, with regular in-person attendance, including weekends.
