About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to provide customer service at its Monroe, Michigan location. Working as part of a supportive team, the representative helps customers with U-Haul products and services, dispatches and returns equipment using current technology, and inspects and maintains equipment. The position includes on-the-job education and ongoing learning through U-Haul University. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. U-Haul states that it will not hire or re-hire nicotine users in Michigan.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer customer questions and educate customers about products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered by U-Haul upon employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered by U-Haul upon employment.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
