About The Position

The Seasonal Customer Service Representative is at the heart of the Nordstrom customer experience, providing friendly service, resolving returns, supporting order pickup, processing transactions accurately, and helping mentor new employees on the register. The role involves owning customer interactions and building trust with customers and teammates. Hours vary based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

Strong ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and leaders.
Proficiency in multiple operating systems, such as MS Windows, iOS, and Android.
Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching, frequent hand use for grasping and fine manipulation, and lifting items up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

Understand customer needs and provide friendly service throughout interactions, including resolving returns and exchanges and assisting with order and pickup inquiries.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns with empathy, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused approach.
Accurately process transactions and ticketing using POS and store systems to support inventory accuracy.
Build relationships with teammates and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment.
Protect the security and privacy of customer information through education, compliance, and issue resolution.
Promote Nordstrom Loyalty and tools, software, and services that enhance the customer and employee experience.
Train and deliver POS/register training to support onboarding of new hires.
