As a Customer Service Representative in Patient Registration, you will help patients check into a hospital by answering questions and accurately collecting information during registration. You will work in a busy hospital or lab environment, using computers and phones and moving between multiple screens and programs to enter patient and insurance details between physician and nurse check-ins. The role requires quick, accurate typing and the ability to respond to interruptions when clinicians need to provide emergency care. You will support patients who may be ill, worried, or anxious by listening carefully, asking follow-up questions, and building rapport while completing registration. The work is fast-paced and often involves being on your feet to assist patients. Training is provided, and previous healthcare experience is not required. Applicants must be up to date on vaccinations and pass a drug test and background check before hire. The position is presented as an opportunity to begin a healthcare career at R1.
