About The Position

Lifetime Activities is seeking a part-time customer service representative for its Santa Clara Tennis Center location. The company has over 30 years of experience managing tennis and recreational facilities. The ideal candidate will provide an exceptional customer service experience to the Santa Clara tennis and pickleball community by assisting with court reservations, racquet stringing, offering equipment recommendations, and providing basic class placement advice. This role requires anticipating the needs of both experienced patrons and new customers, and the candidate should be friendly, customer-focused, and enjoy helping others in a positive team environment.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service / communication skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette and skills
  • Detail oriented and great work ethic
  • Friendly attitude and a desire to help people
  • Eager to learn
  • Computer (Mac OS, Office Suite, Internet, E-mail, CourtReserve - training available)
  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Knowledge of tennis and pickleball playing communities
  • Knowledge of racquet technology and stringing (training available)
  • Point of sale and retail experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct point of sale transactions
  • Help customers make court reservations and register for classes
  • Answer phones and provide information on programs and services
  • String racquets (training provided)
  • Set-up and breakdown of equipment
  • Provide support to on-court staff as needed
  • General cleaning/disinfecting of the pro-shop, courts, and restrooms
  • Must have reliable transportation
