About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to work as part of a supportive team and provide customer service at a U-Haul center. The role involves helping customers with U-Haul products and services, dispatching and returning rental equipment using technology, and inspecting and maintaining equipment. On-the-job education is offered, including ongoing learning through U-Haul University. U-Haul also offers paid hands-on working interviews, a hiring bonus, and a cash bonus after completion of its equipment inspection certification program.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
• Answer customer questions and explain products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept returned rental equipment.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
• Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
