About The Position

The Customer Service Rep serves customers and supports store operations by taking and processing orders, preparing products, handling inventory and paperwork, stocking ingredients, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role is suitable for part-time or full-time work, with schedules intended to accommodate team members’ other commitments. On-the-job orientation and training are provided, and opportunities for advancement may include management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, using a calculator if needed.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
• Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, bending, reaching, and frequent hand use.
• Ability to handle work conditions that may include varying temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers in person.
• Take inventory and complete related paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload deliveries, move supplies, and stock shelves.
• Perform other store tasks, including occasional maintenance and cleaning.
