About The Position

CEVA Logistics is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative II to provide end-to-end customer service and operational support for ocean freight shipments and transload operations. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, carriers, ports, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure the accurate, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods. The ideal candidate is known for providing impeccable service in a logistics environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two to three years related experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications
  • Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence
  • Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully

  • Two to four years industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor ocean import/export shipments, ensuring compliance with schedules, documentation, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage transload operations (container-to-truck/rail transfers), including scheduling, tracking, and exception handling
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing shipment updates, issue resolution, and proactive communication
  • Collaborate with drayage carriers, steamship lines, CFS warehouses, and rail providers to maintain smooth cargo flow
  • Review and process Bills of Lading, arrival notices, delivery orders, and customs documentation
  • Track KPIs such as dwell time, demurrage, and detention, and take action to minimize additional costs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve delays, port congestion issues, or documentation discrepancies
  • Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and internal tools to maintain accurate shipment data
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to optimize supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction
