About The Position

The Customer Service Parts Coordinator oversees parts ordering, receiving, cataloging, inventory, and reconciliation at a single location. The role also processes purchase orders and vendor payment requests, ensuring the right parts are purchased from the right vendors and inventory is maintained to maximize customer uptime. The position is based at Ryder’s shop in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, with hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is an hourly position paid weekly, with an indicated pay rate of $23.00 per hour. The stated potential progression path is Operations Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, accurate data entry, and excellent follow-up practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience in inventory and parts administration or clerical functions.
• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with automotive or heavy-duty truck parts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inventory, order parts, and receive parts.
• Process purchase orders and supplier invoices.
• Ensure received parts are properly recorded in inventory.
• Oversee parts obsolescence.
• Ship warranty items and parts returns to vendors.
• Maintain parts room organization and cleanliness.
• Contribute to cost containment by overseeing and following effective parts processes and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
