About The Position

Clarke Vehicare is seeking a Customer Service Manager to oversee the fleet maintenance program for their customer at the TOPS Markets Distribution Center. This role involves directing diesel technicians, maintaining high customer service performance, and ensuring safety at the branch. The manager will be responsible for various operational aspects including scheduling, repair order closing, shipping/receiving, inventory control, HR activities, client performance reviews, reporting, building and grounds maintenance, budget management, fleet compliance, and continuous operational improvement. The position also requires adherence to OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations and monitoring key branch KPIs.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with customer, team, and management
  • Strong Business acumen
  • Mechanical background with formal education and/or experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; OR four or five years related fleet management experience.
  • Valid State Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Directs and coordinates customer service activities to serve a dedicated fleet
  • Overseeing the scheduling of work in the shop
  • Overseeing the closing of repair orders ensuring truck availability remains high to customer
  • Overseeing all the shipping & receiving activities
  • Branch inventory control
  • All branch Human Resources activities
  • Weekly Client performance review meeting and handling of Customer complaints/requests timely
  • Maintaining client-based reports on client dedicated system
  • Responsible for the building and grounds
  • Managing monthly workload and repairs to meet client budget
  • Manager fleet compliance using internal fleet management software
  • Responsible for maintaining continual improvement in operations (6s shop, detailed 6S mobile service trucks, technician electronic data entry)
  • Compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations
  • Monitoring of key branch KPI's
  • Supervises the employees of the branch and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this operation.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
