Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age or older
  • Ability to learn new concepts and stay organized, maintaining a high level of attention to detail while multitasking

  • Able to balance on a step stool or step ladder, lift up to 50 lbs., and work from floor to eye level.
  • Able to work in a cooler at an average temperature of 32 degrees Fahrenheit
  • High School diploma or equivalent required (for Food & Beverage Manager)
  • 1-2 years of retail, food & beverage, or convenience store experience required (for Food & Beverage Manager)
  • Able to work in a cooler or freezer at temperatures as low as 0 degrees Fahrenheit (for Food & Beverage Manager)
  • ServeSafe/SURE Food Manager certification, as well as any other legally required certification by local jurisdictions (for Food & Beverage Manager)
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required (for Store Manager)
  • Must consent to and pass a background check (for Store Manager)
  • Minimum HS Diploma or GED with two years of prior retail store management experience (for Store Manager)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a leadership role (shift lead, asst. manager, manager.) (for Store Manager)

Responsibilities

  • Provide scent-sational customer service by creating a welcoming environment, assisting customers with their needs, and answering questions.
  • Cash out orders with precision, processing payments accurately when handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Keep the store smelling like roses by tidying up restrooms, cooler interiors and exteriors, parking lots, fuel islands, equipment, food service areas, shelves, and storage.
  • Ensure that the parking lot and interior floors remain free of debris and spills.
  • Stay ahead of the stink by adhering to the Safety Manual and promptly reporting any incidents, using appropriate safety signage when needed.
  • Keep merchandise front and center by stocking, facing, and maintaining accurate pricing.
  • Analyze food service trends and results to prepare action plans, leveraging the store's fresh food strengths to address areas of opportunity and ensure profitability.
  • Ensure skunktastic 24/7 execution of all food service programs: including ordering, inventory control, production planning, product handling, product rotations and dating, and display setting.
  • Ensure routine maintenance and upkeep of food service equipment and facilities.
  • Assist with the hiring, training, and coaching of team members, while enhancing associate engagement.
  • Ensure associates’ proficiency in executing our Stinkin’ tasty food programs by following the training plans and upholding standards for all food service team members.
  • Execute safety, security, and quality procedures by ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Lead with purpose: inspire, train, mentor, and find solutions, all while keeping things on track.
  • Manage labor and driving sales to handling daily finances, community events, and new projects, balancing routine tasks with exciting promotions.
  • Keep a close eye on labor costs, inventory, waste, sales, and market trends.
  • Stay connected with the District Manager, leadership team, and Skunk Den support team.
  • Ensure product promotions are executed perfectly—adhere to pricing policies, display requirements, and vendor guidelines while keeping aligned with the brand.
