About The Position

At Meyer’s, we’re on a crusade to help owners improve the relationship between them and their dogs and be the HERO in their lives. Meyer’s is 3rd generation dog professionals with over 25 years of experience teaching “dog speak.” We are changing every day to inspire more people with their dogs. The hospitality team is often the first point of contact for new & existing guests for tours, reservations, information about our many services. The Hospitality team is looking for a 1st Impressions team member who will be responsible for communicating with our customers, being empathetic to the issues they are facing, and guiding them to a plan which best fits their pets’ needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in customer service
  • 3+ years of experience in retail sales
  • Experience working with sensitive situations, helping to develop WOW experiences
  • MS Office Skills
  • Speed to multi-task in high energy environment
  • A team player with outstanding communication skills
  • Empathetic to the issues our customers are facing, and the ability to lead them to using our facility
  • Proactive and able to solve problems
  • A people person who loves listening and building rapport
  • Not afraid to ask probing questions
  • A person who demonstrates follow-through skills
  • Good at dog handling skills
  • Able to be flexible with work schedule, including alternating weekend hours
  • Able to receive constructive criticism
  • Able to gather and document information/data quickly
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Seeking a long term seat, is responsible, punctual and dependable
  • Basic computer skills and typing mastery

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with customers
  • Being empathetic to the issues customers are facing
  • Guiding customers to a plan which best fits their pets’ needs
  • Making outgoing calls, emails throughout the day
  • Meeting and greeting customers consistently
  • Being a guide while soft-selling and being a champion for our farm for new clients
  • Discussing and documenting client experiences for clients who have used the farm (i.e. what was done well and what needs improvement)
  • Discussing and documenting why clients did not use our farm and what we can do to improve the process
