About The Position

Serve as a brand ambassador by providing excellent customer service while delivering customer orders to homes. Drive a company delivery vehicle safely and efficiently in accordance with Kroger’s driving standards, and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Deliveries should be on time and in good condition, with customer communication maintained throughout the route and any issues resolved or reported as appropriate. The role also involves following food safety requirements, completing vehicle checks, and using company-provided technology for mapping and customer interaction.

This position requires a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an annual DOT-regulated medical exam. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service while delivering orders to customers.
• Act as a brand ambassador when discussing Kroger’s Seamless Experience and delivery process with customers.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism and personal presentation when interacting with customers.
• Drive a company vehicle safely and in accordance with Kroger’s driving standards.
• Ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in good condition, resolving issues that may occur.
• Communicate with customers while en route to inform them of delivery issues or changes, in accordance with Kroger delivery standards.
• Control and maintain an accurate record of customer deliveries.
• Assist fellow drivers who encounter difficulties while delivering.
• Keep goods within the correct temperature guidelines and monitor and record temperatures in accordance with food health and safety regulations.
• Handle products safely and in accordance with food safety guidelines; record serious breakages or contamination issues and report them to a supervisor.
• Complete pre-use inspections of the company vehicle and report defects to a supervisor.
• Operate company-provided technology devices for mapping and customer interaction.
• Perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
