About The Position

This part-time position combines customer-facing retail service with local delivery driving. The role works with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend appropriate solutions. It also involves delivering products from Sherwin-Williams stores to customers safely and on time using company vans or pickup trucks. The position is based at Store #703023, 240 Dakota Ave S, Huron, SD 57350, and starts at $17.02 per hour.

The role may involve contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuable items. Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products as needed to meet customer specifications.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers safely and on time.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs.
• Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules.
• Comply with laws, traffic regulations, and safety procedures when driving.
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Operate equipment and machines such as cars, trucks, and forklifts.
