Ryder's shop operations run on trust, and the Customer Service Coordinator is the person who earns it every day. You'll be the connective tissue between customers, technicians, and the rental counter, keeping vehicles moving, communications clear, and parts on the shelf. Responsibilities

  • Keep Customers in the Loop: Be the friendly, reliable voice customers count on for scheduling, status updates, and issue resolution. Own communication protocols for preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and repair follow-up, so customers always know where things stand. Help drive Customer Satisfaction (CSI) scores through consistent, high-quality service.
  • Keep the Shop Running Smoothly: Build and update the work planning sheet, creating repair order tasks that keep technicians productive. Review maintenance reports to proactively schedule PM, repair campaigns, and follow-up work. Partner with the rental counter on repair needs, substitute units, and vehicle wash turnaround. Coordinate outside repairs with vendors and customers, freeing up the management team to focus on shop operations.
  • Keep Parts Flowing: Manage the full parts cycle: physical inventory, ordering, receiving, stocking, purchase orders, and invoicing. Recommend min-max inventory levels and help manage parts obsolescence. Process warranty and return shipments, and keep the parts room organized and shop-ready.
  • Keep the Details Covered: Handle incoming shop calls with professionalism and a solutions mindset. Maintain vehicle maintenance files and shop clerical records. Process accounts payable and create repair orders for technicians. Take on other projects as they come up — variety is part of the job.
  • Contribute to cost containment through effective inventory planning and warranty.
  • Enhance branch productivity through effective work scheduling and planning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
