About The Position

The Customer Service Associate models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience. The role registers sales on an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. It also supports store operations, merchandising, asset protection, regulated-product compliance, photo services, online order pickup, store maintenance, and assigned training and tasks.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior Walgreens work experience is preferred.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is preferred, except in Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve customer issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer-service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive service that identifies customer needs and follows through until customers are satisfied.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Register purchases; collect cash and provide change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
Follow asset-protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, and comply with state and local laws concerning regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to policies and procedures, including shelf placement for raw and frozen meats.
Assist with consumable-item stock rotation using first in, first out methods and restock outs.
Use store systems and equipment; provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative-machine services, and promotion of photo products.
Monitor Picture Care Plus web pickup orders, pick items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
