About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience by providing courteous, friendly, fair, fast, and efficient service. Registers customer purchases, handles payment and transactions, assists customers with products and services, resolves issues, and recommends relevant items. The role also supports store operations, merchandising, inventory, asset protection, regulated-product compliance, photo services, web pickup orders, store maintenance, and assigned tasks. Associates attend required training and complete assigned learning modules. The position requires English fluency (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Six months of retail experience and prior Walgreens experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve customer issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer-service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient checkout service.
Recommend items for sale, trade-up items, and companion products.
Register purchases; collect cash and provide change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as directed.
Implement asset-protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Comply with state and local laws for regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to applicable policies and procedures.
Rotate consumable stock using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs.
Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area services, including digital passport photos, poster printing, use of the creative machine, and promotion of photo products.
Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders, pick items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
