About The Position

Great Northern is a privately-owned paper-based packaging manufacturer founded in 1962, offering secure, stable, and rewarding careers. This role involves coordinating workflow from estimates to finished product, acting as a communication link between various departments and external vendors, and managing all aspects of customer orders. The position also includes coverage for the Receptionist during vacations or breaks. The company fosters a collaborative, safe, clean, and enjoyable workplace with opportunities for growth. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after an initial 3-6 month training period, which will involve 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university, or two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or printing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide communication links between the customer, design, production, sales, and outside vendors.
  • Manage all aspects of customer orders; including, but not limited to estimating, quoting, purchasing, order entry, building relationships, invoicing, managing inventory levels, and job costing.
  • Provide coverage for the Receptionist when on vacation or work breaks.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
