About The Position
Applied Industrial Technologies is hiring a full-time Customer Sales & Service Representative at our Indianapolis, IN service center. In this role, you'll provide professional and timely support to our sales team and customers. As a leading industrial distributor (and Fortune 1000 company), we realize we are only as strong as our dedicated team. Selling millions of industrial products to all types of customers takes special skill - and that's where you come in.
Requirements
- 1+ year customer service, inside sales, mechanical or maintenance experience required.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & data entry software
- Attention to detail, time management, organization, & communication
- Valid driver's license & clean driving record (MVR)
Nice To Haves
- Hydraulic experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Solve customer inquiries, prepare quotes, process/expedite orders & returns
- Source parts from suppliers nationwide
- Assist in generating sales by upselling, adding on, & educating customers
- Assemble hoses for walk-in customers
- Help in the stockroom & deliver orders to customers as needed
