About The Position

This opportunity is for customer service professionals to join a global industrial distribution company. The role focuses on solving real-world problems for customers, working Monday through Friday, and offers a competitive base salary with incentive opportunities, benefits, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement. Training in industrial distribution is provided. The Customer Sales & Service Representative will provide expert assistance to customers by phone and in person, building ongoing business relationships through repeated contact and consultation. The ability to quickly and efficiently provide the right parts and solutions is crucial, especially during equipment breakdowns. On occasion, the role may involve utilizing mechanical aptitude to solve customer problems or troublesome processes. This position is described as a great starting point for growth into sales or management careers within the company, which has a clear growth path.

Requirements

  • Excellent telephone, and written skills, including English grammar

  • Enjoys working with computers, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook & Excel) and comfortable with Google search engine
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR)
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, sense of humor
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of customer service experience
  • SAP / ERP experience
  • Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility
  • Use customer service skills and talents to clarify needs, do research, and recommend parts (after getting up to speed)
  • Be focused and driven to meet / exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction
  • Process quotes, take orders and provide post-order service
