About The Position

Applied Industrial Technologies is hiring a full-time Customer Sales & Serv Rep in Austin, Texas. The onsite role provides professional, timely support to the sales team and customers at a service center. The representative works with customers and an Account Manager to identify products and services, meet customer needs, and build positive business relationships. The position includes customer service and sales support, order processing, sourcing parts, and occasional stockroom work and customer deliveries. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

At least 1 year of customer service or inside sales experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask, and a sense of humor.
Written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record.
Basic computer skills, including Excel.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; work visa sponsorship is not available.
The position is expected to be performed onsite and is not eligible for relocation benefits.

Nice To Haves

Experience in industrial distribution or a parts counter environment.
Knowledge of hydraulics, bearings, or power transmission.
Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries and prepare quotes.
Process orders and handle expediting and returns.
Source parts to meet customer needs.
Partner with customers and the Account Manager to find products and services, solve customer needs, and build positive business relationships.
Assist in generating sales.
Help in the stockroom as needed.
Deliver orders to customers as needed.
