About The Position

Tornado Bus Company is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Station Attendant to ensure clients and passengers receive needed information professionally and effectively. The role contributes to the quality of service provided by answering general phone lines, responding to inquiries, and handling customer complaints. At some locations, the representative also performs station attendant duties, including ticket sales, cash handling, assisting passengers with luggage, and maintaining terminal cleanliness.

Requirements

• Two years of job-related experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to meet the listed heavy physical demands: exerting 60–100 lbs. frequently, 25–60 lbs. occasionally, or up to 10–20 lbs. constantly.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Call customers to advise them about changes to or cancellations of scheduled runs.
• Respond to client inquiries about destinations served, pricing, departure and arrival times, and directions to the terminal while providing outstanding customer service.
• Manage cash and ensure compliance.
• Operate cash register and/or credit card equipment.
• Sell and process ticket orders by telephone, internet, and over the counter.
• Close the terminal, including preparing cash bank deposits and sales reports and depositing funds in the safe box.
• Greet visitors and follow procedures to notify the employee or department they are requesting to see.
• Assist customers with luggage identification tags and transfer luggage to the luggage compartment.
• Assist passengers with luggage as needed and load and unload luggage into the cargo bay.
• Maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the terminal, including sweeping, mopping, removing and disposing of garbage, cleaning windows, and stocking necessary supplies.
• Clean bathrooms, including sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing sinks and toilets, and restocking bathroom tissue and multifold napkins.
• Stock vehicles with necessary restroom supplies, including bathroom tissue, sanitizer foam, and trash bags.
• Assist with cleaning driver dorms at certain locations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Manager.
