About The Position

TES Staffing is partnering with an established and growing Rochester-area company to hire a Customer Operations Specialist for their team in Honeoye Falls, NY. If you've spent your career behind a computer managing customer orders, processing returns, coordinating shipments, solving product-related issues, and keeping customers informed, we want to talk with you. This is NOT a retail cashier position. We're looking for someone who understands the flow of products, orders, inventory, shipping, and customer communication. Maybe you've worked in distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, healthcare products, education products, logistics, supply chain, inside sales support, order management, or customer operations. If you've successfully managed customer orders from start to finish, you'll likely be a strong fit. Even better? Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in order processing, customer operations, customer support, sales support, account coordination, or a similar role
  • Experience supporting customers who purchase physical products
  • Strong computer skills and comfort working in multiple systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and follow through on commitments
  • Experience handling returns, order changes, shipping issues, or fulfillment questions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ecommerce platforms, ERP systems, CRM systems, or ticketing systems
  • Experience supporting technical, educational, scientific, industrial, medical, or laboratory products
  • A personal interest in science, STEM, education, makerspaces, engineering, or technology

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage customer orders from receipt through resolution
  • Handle customer questions regarding products, shipments, returns, and order status
  • Investigate order issues and coordinate solutions with internal teams
  • Communicate professionally with customers by phone and email
  • Track and document customer interactions and resolutions
  • Help improve workflows, processes, and customer experience initiatives
  • Work closely with operations, purchasing, warehouse, and product teams
