About The Position

Assist the Center Store (Grocery) Manager in providing quality customer service within the Center Store Department. The Customer Lead is responsible for maintaining standards in accordance with the standard practice manual, maximizing sales through excellent customer service, and minimizing shrink through proper use of standard practices. Food Lion emphasizes associate development through on-the-job learning opportunities and training.

Requirements

Maintain a neat, clean appearance and adhere to the Food Lion dress code while on duty.
Successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packet, and Training Aid courses.

Responsibilities

Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness, emphasizing fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
Ensure Center Store Associates maintain a clean, neat appearance.
Assist the Center Store Manager as necessary with training and scheduling and maintaining a qualified stock crew.
Help the stock crew achieve productivity goals.
Stock products in accordance with policies and guidelines.
Place only saleable merchandise on shelves.
Maintain shelf allocations as indicated by item tags.
Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and displaying of merchandise follow policies and guidelines.
Understand and use company tools such as the average cost inventory system (ACIS) and ordering (CAO).
Maintain understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices.
Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
Observe and correct unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents.
Report associate and customer accidents to the Manager on Duty according to established Food Lion procedures.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Wear the Food Lion uniform, including a name badge, while on duty; maintain a neat, clean appearance and follow the dress code.
Successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packet, and Training Aid courses.
Perform other duties as assigned.
