We’re building the future of livestock technology. Come join us. We’re looking for a Customer Engagement Representative to help expand the reach of the eShepherd platform across North America. In this role, you’ll focus on generating and qualifying opportunities, building relationships with prospective customers, and supporting the sales journey from initial engagement through to handover and onboarding. You’ll work closely with ranchers, producers, and industry stakeholders to understand their operational challenges and demonstrate how virtual fencing technology can deliver real value within their businesses. This is a highly relationship-driven role that combines sales strategy, customer engagement, and practical agricultural understanding. Working alongside Business Development Managers and the wider eShepherd team, you’ll play a key role in driving pipeline growth and helping scale the business across the region. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys building connections, identifying opportunities, and working in a fast-paced growth environment where no two days look the same. In this role, you’ll focus on building strong relationships across the livestock industry while helping ranchers understand the value and practical application of the eShepherd platform. You’ll manage opportunities throughout the sales journey — from initial engagement and qualification through to product demonstrations and supporting successful customer handovers. You’ll work closely with Business Development Managers, Customer Success teams, and wider eShepherd stakeholders to help grow market presence across North America. Success in this role comes from being proactive, commercially minded, and genuinely interested in helping customers solve real operational challenges through technology.

Requirements

  • Experience in solution sales, customer engagement, business development, or account management
  • Agricultural, livestock, or AgTech industry knowledge, particularly within beef cattle or grazing systems
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build trust quickly
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with strong commercial awareness
  • The ability to manage pipeline activity and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales tools to manage opportunities and reporting
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across global teams
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and the confidence to contribute within a growing business

Nice To Haves

  • You’ll have an advantage if you’re located close to an airport to enable you to keep up with the travel aspect of the role
  • Experience working within an international or globally focused business would be beneficial, though not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Traveling to events to represent eShepherd – including presenting, speaking and joining panel discussions
  • Identifying and qualifying new opportunities across the livestock and grazing sector
  • Building relationships with prospective customers and conducting product demonstrations
  • Supporting regional sales strategies and managing pipeline activity through CRM systems
  • Leading customer conversations, handling objections, and supporting contract discussions
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to onboarding
  • Staying informed on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging AgTech developments
