About The Position

The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The Customer Engagement (CE) division is a field-based group of technical experts who partner closely with customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of KLA products that support yield improvement from R&D through high-volume production. The team helps align KLA’s solutions with customer needs, supports product performance, identifies new opportunities and gathers insights to guide future innovation—all while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Must also have training in semiconductor or related fields.

  • Candidate must be willing to travel (> 30%) within US.
  • Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years

Nice To Haves

  • Having a background in IC processing/Semiconductor equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.
  • Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.
  • May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.
  • May provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.
  • Provide and lead product penetration and adoption support, customer demonstrations, and head-to-head (H2H) activities at customer facilities.
  • Investigate semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and providing inspection solutions.
  • Create & share product value statements and use-cases with engineering, marketing and sales groups.
  • Train customers and other applications engineers.
  • New product introductions and characterization, beta testing and early evaluation tools.
  • Work closely with many organizations including worldwide applications teams, engineering, sales and marketing within KLA and with customer engineers outside of KLA.
  • Generate best known method documents and other training materials and transferring this knowledge to KLA's worldwide Applications team and customers.
  • Work with customers to develop solutions to problems, and publish papers at industry symposiums or in technical journals.
  • Characterization of next generation state-of-the art semiconductor wafer inspection products.
  • Craft test plans, collect data, perform analysis, publish results and recommendations in the form of applications notes, best known methods.
