About The Position

Optiom Inc. is hiring part-time Customer Care Representatives / Partner Support Representatives to strengthen coverage during peak service windows (10:00 – 17:00). These roles ensure that customers and partners receive knowledgeable and invested support. There are two openings on the Client Care team: one focused on policyholder service and one on dealer and broker partner support. Both roles are approximately 15–20 hours per week, scheduled around highest-demand windows, and are available in Calgary, AB or Langley, BC. The Customer Care Representative will be the first point of contact for policyholders, handling inquiries about coverage and claims with calm, clear, and empathetic service. This role is suited for individuals with a natural phone presence who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment. The Partner Support Representative will support Optiom's national network of dealer and broker partners, resolving inbound inquiries, assisting with policy and account questions, and building trust to strengthen distribution relationships. This role is suited for individuals with a background in B2B service, account support, or partner-facing operations.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of customer service or support experience (insurance, automotive, financial services, or any regulated environment is a strong asset).
  • Professional phone presence and ability to manage inbound call volume calmly and efficiently during peak hours.
  • Clear, empathetic communication skills, with the ability to explain policy details or process steps simply, accurately, and with patience.
  • Ability to navigate multiple platforms simultaneously (CRM, policy admin, email) without losing focus.
  • Reliability and availability for a consistent part-time schedule of 15–20 hours per week, aligned to peak inbound demand windows (typically 10:00 – 17:00).
  • Team-first attitude and genuine commitment to getting things right the first time.

Nice To Haves

  • Active insurance licensing in Alberta or British Columbia (AIC Level 1 or Insurance Council of BC), or confirmed ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Experience in an MGA, brokerage, or dealership environment.
  • Familiarity with vehicle warranty, F&I, or specialty insurance products.
  • Experience using a CRM or policy administration platform (Salesforce, BambooHR, or equivalent) in a customer- or partner-facing role.
  • Bilingual (English / French).
