About the position
As a Lead Customer Analyst at Culture Amp, you will play a crucial role in spearheading analytics initiatives that provide insights about customers and the business. Your responsibilities will include delivering immediate analytics outcomes, fostering a data-driven decision-making culture, and defining and monitoring revenue KPIs. You will also be responsible for building power use-cases, partnering with other teams to develop and maintain the revenue-focused data model, and driving mid to long-term analytics initiatives. Additionally, you will lead and inspire the customer analytics team, coach analysts on data visualization and analytical thinking, and enforce best practices for analytics and insights.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior customer leadership, other analytics leaders across Culture Amp to improve data culture and increase analytics maturity
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision making
- Help define, monitor, and innovate global revenue KPIs
- Own group reporting cadence such as quarterly Regional QBRs and Weekly Customer Revenue forecast
- Build power use-cases such as multi-product lead scoring, revenue objective models, or churn prediction
- Partner closely with Customer Analytical Engineers and Finance teams to develop and maintain revenue-focused data model in dbt and Looker
- Strategically plan analytics to uncover useful insights, anchor customer decisions on quantifiable metrics, and easily report revenue success
- Drive mid to long term analytics initiatives with broad impact on multiple domains or departments
- Lead and inspire the customer analytics team and peers, championing recognition, proactivity, and adaptability within the team
- Coach analysts on data visualization, analytical thinking, and persuasive communication
- Develop frameworks and best practices for technical and human skills used by other customer analysts
- Work with Product Analytics and various other analytics teams to drive the company analytics strategy with a revenue lens
- Build and enforce best practices for analytics and insights at Culture Amp
- Utilize advanced SQL for descriptive analytics with big data systems like Redshift or BigQuery
- Familiarity with data generated by revenue-related tools such as Salesforce, Segment, Hubspot, and Intercom
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools such as Looker or Tableau for data visualization and coaching others on data visualization
- Existing experience or strong desire to work with a tool like dbt
- Advanced abilities in SQL
- Broader experience with tools in the modern data stack such as dbt, Looker, Mode, Fivetran, Census, or HighTouch
- Understanding of common software practices such as version control, continuous deployment, and automated testing
- Analytical thinker who tackles big or complex problems by thinking critically, asking the right questions, and backing up assertions with logic, reasoning, and data.

- Advanced SQL skills for descriptive analytics
- Familiarity with revenue-related tools such as Salesforce, Segment, Hubspot, and Intercom
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker or Tableau for data visualization
- Experience coaching others on data visualization
- Understanding of common software practices such as version control, continuous deployment, and automated testing
- Analytical thinker with the ability to tackle big or complex problems
- Strong logic, reasoning, and data analysis skills
