About The Position

Ramp is hiring a Customer Activation Manager for AI Spend Management and Router. AI Spend Management helps Finance and Engineering see connected AI spend, understand what changed, and assign it to the right owner; Router helps builders route AI model requests. The manager guides customers through technical activation, connects developers and AI administrators with Finance stakeholders, and turns initial setup into useful, repeatable workflows. The role leads the customer plan for AI Spend Management and coordinates specialist Solutions partners when Router requires deeper code integration. As this is an early product motion, the manager will also help develop the implementation playbook as the product and process evolve.

  • Ability to read API documentation and reason through request/response evidence, authentication, permissions, and integration issues; production coding is not required.
  • Working knowledge of multiple AI providers and customer tradeoffs involving capabilities, cost, latency, reliability, usage limits, and data handling.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with developers or AI administrators and plainly with Finance leaders, keeping both aligned on the launch plan.
  • Comfort solving unfamiliar problems, escalating with useful evidence, and building a repeatable process in a changing product environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer discovery and implementation planning, including provider connections, prerequisites, owners, usage visibility, first-use milestones, and adoption follow-through.

  • Help technical and finance stakeholders understand AI usage, costs, and governance choices in language each group can act on.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, Technical Solutions, Product, and Engineering on deeper Router integrations or issues requiring code-level work; provide customers with a clear owner and next step.
  • Guide customers from a working connection to a useful usage-review or governance workflow, and verify that the workflow is used after launch.
