About The Position

The Custom Applicator mixes, hauls, spreads, and applies liquid and dry fertilizer and farm chemicals, providing accurate and timely custom application services for customers. The work may also include non-farm applications. The role supports batching operations and coordinates with bagging, bulk loading, and plant operations to meet production schedules. It also involves understanding product labels and application procedures, scouting fields for weeds and insects, completing application and delivery paperwork, and assisting with facility operations and deliveries as seasonal demands require.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commercial Applicator’s License required.
• Able to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Able to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.
• Able to climb, stoop, and kneel at heights up to 100 feet.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures, with possible exposure to dust, fumes, moderate noise, uneven surfaces, and industrial chemicals.
• Daily travel required.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily batching operation activities according to established procedures and production schedules, coordinating with bagging, bulk loading, and plant operations.
• Understand product label specifications and operational procedures and standards for custom application.
• Scout fields to recognize local weeds and insects and notify agronomy sales staff.
• Complete and deliver accurate, timely applicator logs, delivery paperwork, field application forms, and other paperwork to appropriate personnel and customers.
• Assist with facility duties, operations duties, and deliveries as needed to meet seasonal demands.
• Mix, haul, spread, and apply liquid and dry fertilizer and farm chemicals for customers, including possible non-farm applications.
