About The Position

The Custom Applicator mixes, hauls, spreads, and applies liquid and dry fertilizer and farm chemicals, providing accurate and timely custom application services to customers. Work may also include non-farm applications. The role supports batching operations, coordinates with bagging, bulk loading, and plant operations to meet production schedules, and follows product labels and operating procedures. The applicator also scouts fields for local weeds and insects, completes and delivers application and delivery paperwork, and assists with facility duties, operations, and deliveries as seasonal demands require. The position involves daily travel and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commercial Applicator’s License.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to climb, stoop, or kneel at heights up to 100 feet.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures, with possible exposure to dust, fumes, moderate noise, uneven surfaces, and industrial chemicals.
• Ability to travel daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily batching operation activities according to established procedures and production schedules, coordinating with bagging, bulk loading, and plant operations.
• Understand product label specifications and operational procedures and standards for custom application.
• Scout fields to recognize local weeds and insects and notify agronomy sales staff.
• Complete and deliver applicator logs, delivery paperwork, field application forms, and other paperwork to appropriate personnel and customers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist with facility duties, operations duties, and deliveries as needed to meet seasonal demands.
• Mix, haul, spread, and apply liquid and dry fertilizer and farm chemicals for customers.
