About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring a Custodian at Kings Crossing Animal Hospital. The role involves maintaining clean, comfortable, and guest-ready areas in a pet-care environment, including play areas, the lobby, bathrooms, and parking lot. The custodian also helps care for pets’ surroundings, monitors supplies and facility conditions, shares updates about pets’ stays, and assists teammates as needed. Animal care experience is welcome but not required; training will be provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Positive, can-do attitude and professional demeanor.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Comfort standing and moving around throughout the day.
• Willingness to work around cleaning products, pet dander, and other realities of animal care.

Nice To Haves

• Animal care experience; training is available for candidates without it.

Responsibilities

• Clean play areas, including spraying down turf.
• Clean up after pets and handle pet accidents throughout the day.
• Refresh water bowls, beds, and other pet-comfort items.
• Clean the parking lot.
• Take out the trash.
• Keep the lobby clean and bathrooms guest-ready.
• Monitor supplies and alert the team when stock is low.
• Notice broken items and inform the team.
• Share helpful updates about each pet’s stay.
• Help teammates when needed.
• Greet customers professionally and with a smile.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
