About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and organization of an assigned area throughout The Chicago Theatre. The role maintains daily cleanliness across the area and completes daily or weekly special cleaning projects. The Custodian helps maintain facility standards and provides general cleaning and maintenance of public areas, including during events. The role also handles facility equipment, receives deliveries, and performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Custodial experience at an entertainment venue or large commercial property is described as ideal.
• Proficiency in using necessary equipment and following its safety requirements.
• High energy and commitment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
• Ability to work with various operating groups.
• Ability to lift upwards of 70 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7 environment, including days, nights, split days off, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the assigned area throughout The Chicago Theatre.
• Complete daily cleaning and regular daily or weekly special cleaning projects.
• Sweep floors, perform detailed cleaning, clean spills, shampoo surfaces, and dispose of garbage.
• Maintain restrooms during events and provide general maintenance of public areas.
• Handle facility equipment of different sizes and weights.
• Receive deliveries and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Meet and exceed MSG standards.
• Provide exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members, including by following on-site appearance and presentation guidelines.
