About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and organization of an assigned area throughout The Chicago Theatre. The role maintains daily cleanliness and completes daily or weekly special cleaning projects. The Custodian helps maintain facility standards, supports general cleaning and maintenance of public areas, and contributes to exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members while following on-site appearance and presentation guidelines.

Requirements

• Custodial experience at an entertainment venue or large commercial property is ideal.
• Proficiency in using necessary equipment and following its safety requirements.
• High energy and commitment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
• Ability to work with various operating groups.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days and nights, split days off, weekends, and holidays in a 24 x 7 environment.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility standards and assist with general cleaning.
• Sweep floors, perform detail cleaning, clean spills, shampoo, and empty garbage.
• Maintain restrooms during events and perform general maintenance of public areas.
• Handle facility equipment of different sizes and weights.
• Receive deliveries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Ensure MSG standards are met and exceeded.
• Adhere to appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.
