About The Position

The Custodian performs routine maintenance on the building interior and exterior and maintains records of when maintenance has been performed and when the next service is due. The role requires working safely, recognizing unsafe situations, and taking appropriate action to protect oneself and others in the building. This is a seasonal, part-time position with flexible evening, weekend, and holiday availability. The effective start date is on or after November 2, 2026, and the position is expected to end approximately 90 days after the start date.

The position operates in an office environment and a museum-type exhibit, using cleaning equipment and tools. It does not require supervisory responsibility or travel. The role may require lifting up to 60 pounds and requires specified visual abilities. Employees must comply with company and OSHA workplace safety protocols; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuums and carpet-cleaning equipment.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and public spaces.
• Clean surfaces inside an art exhibit.
• Operate pressure washers and carpet extractors.
• Use cleaning products, including bleach and mild chemicals.
• Maintain outdoor areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on the building interior and exterior.
• Maintain records of maintenance schedules and services performed.
• Recognize and respond to unsafe situations to ensure safety.
