GRBS is seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join their team at Byron Center Public Schools. This is a full-time position with leadership responsibilities. The role involves general cleaning tasks, ensuring building security, and training new team members. It is a hands-on position that requires being on your feet and moving throughout the school district. • Individuals with theft, violence, or drug-related backgrounds will not qualify for employment due to Michigan public schools requirements.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and cleaning restrooms.
• Removing trash.
• Ensuring all exterior doors are secured by completing perimeter door pulls.
• Following up and closing out customer concerns.
• Walking the building to ensure quality standards are upheld.
• Training new team members.
• Leading, managing, and holding the team accountable.
• Traveling throughout the school district using personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement and paid drive time.
• Performing other cleaning tasks as assigned.
