About The Position
The Greenbush YMCA is seeking a Custodian to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility. The position offers an Early Wage Access program, allowing employees to access a portion of their earned wages on demand.
Requirements
- Excellent human relation skills and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.
- Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (completed within 30 days of hire)
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
Nice To Haves
- One year prior experience in custodial work preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility.
- Report and record maintenance requests.
- Ensure safe and efficient use of cleaning compounds and chemicals.
