About The Position

GRBS is hiring a full-time floating day substitute custodian to provide coverage in the Okemos, Haslett, and DeWitt areas. The schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with work one weekend per month. The role serves public school customers by cleaning buildings and may include other cleaning tasks as assigned. Paid mileage reimbursement and travel time are offered. Candidates must have valid proof of auto insurance. Due to Michigan public school requirements, people with theft-, violence-, or drug-related backgrounds will not qualify for employment.

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Have valid identification.
• Have leadership experience.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, customer-service focus, dependability, self-motivation, hard work, and reliability.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work each day.
• Provide valid proof of auto insurance.
• Have no theft-, violence-, or drug-related background that would disqualify employment under Michigan public school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute the clean building process.
• Use GRBS tools to complete assigned work.
• Complete 360 communication.
• Lead, manage, serve, and hold team members accountable.
• Lead with integrity and humility.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, clean restrooms, and remove trash.
• Complete other cleaning tasks as assigned.
