About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment. Duties include cleaning restrooms, break rooms, office areas, and conference rooms; handling waste and cardboard; and assisting with support functions, training and qualifying other associates, and developing more efficient ways to maintain the plant. The role may also involve operating a hand lift truck or other material-handling devices and performing additional miscellaneous duties assigned by the immediate supervisor within the scope of the job.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Ability to drive a fork truck.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Anticipate problems, such as unavoidable delays or material shortages, inform the area supervisor or other involved personnel, and/or resolve problems as required.
• Lift and transport waste and cardboard as necessary.
• Clean restrooms, break rooms, office areas, and conference rooms.
• Perform additional miscellaneous duties assigned by the immediate supervisor within the scope of the job.
• Assist with support functions.
• Assist in training and qualifying other associates.
• Assist in developing more efficient ways of maintaining the plant.
• Operate a hand lift truck or other material-handling devices when required.
