Warehouse Custodian 1st shift
About The Position
The Custodian supports warehouse operations at Gordon Food Service’s Houston distribution center by maintaining clean, organized buildings. Duties include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, emptying trash, clearing snow, and maintaining landscaping. The role involves working in extreme temperatures ranging from -25°F to 100°F. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with Saturdays and Sundays off. The position pays starting at $18.60 per hour, with monthly performance incentives. Employees must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions, from -25°F to 100°F.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to understand labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company information, paperwork, and verbal instructions.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
