About The Position

Performs technical work in cleaning and/or building maintenance. Duties include cleaning existing structures and office furniture. This role performs routine cleaning and identifies corrective actions needed to resolve discrepancies. The position is located at drive-thru sites in San Benito and Harlingen and is part-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in custodial or general cleaning work and grounds keeping, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Ability to exert medium physical effort, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling objects and materials weighing 20–50 pounds.
• Ability to perform activities that may include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion.
• Ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals, and to communicate orally where required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, and office space.
• Empty waste receptacles and properly dispose of trash.
• Clean windows and glass doors daily.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and floors; buff floors.
• Maintain a clean building and keep area water fountains and hallway furniture clean.
• Perform other related duties as required.
