About The Position

The Milford Department of Public Works – Facilities is seeking a part-time Custodian for the Milford Police Department. This position would provide custodial care at the Milford Police Department to include: upkeep of offices, lunchrooms or restrooms; empty trash receptacles; vacuum carpets, wash or wax floors; clean windows; perform repairs of a minor nature and replenish supplies when and where needed. This individual may, on occasion, set up or tear down for special events or assist in the custodial care of other Town buildings, offices, lunchrooms or restrooms, as needed. Hours will range between 15 and 19 hours per week, generally M-F. The position is primarily evenings, with occasional weekends in other facilities, as needed. Candidate(s) must be able to understand and follow oral and written directives. A successful applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid NH driver's license, plus 6 months to one year of custodial experience. A pre-employment physical is required and the candidate is subject to the required Police Department background checks. The rate of pay is $23.00 per hour. Completion of a Town of Milford application is required.
