About The Position

Performs assigned custodial duties necessary for the maintenance and upkeep of the Devonshire Cultural Center. This is a part-time position with hours from Mondays - Fridays from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The role may require covering other shifts, working occasional later hours, and weekend hours depending on facility needs. The position falls into paygrade PT5, with a target hiring range of $16 - $17 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Requirements

Must have the ability to work independently and the ability to follow a schedule and check list of assigned tasks.

Must be a responsible and organized adult.
Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be an adult at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of custodial maintenance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs routine maintenance tasks and related work as required and directed by the Custodial Supervisor and the Devonshire Cultural Center Manager.
Maintains facility through performing the following tasks: washes windows, mops floors, vacuums, washes carpet, waxes floors, cleans and sanitizes rest rooms, shovels snow, cleans facility equipment, cleans and maintains kitchen appliances (stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pots), empties trash and recycling receptacles, waters/prunes indoor plants, changes air conditioner and furnace filters, cleans facility grounds of litter and debris, makes minor building repairs.
Works cooperatively with other staff, supervisors and the public.
Assists in room set-up and take-down which may include setting up tables and chairs.
Assists in facility performance and safety audits.
Completes custodial maintenance check lists accurately.
Performs other duties as assigned.
