About The Position

The Custodian performs routine maintenance on the building’s interior and exterior, maintains records of completed maintenance and upcoming service needs, and works safely by identifying unsafe conditions and taking appropriate action. This is a seasonal, part-time position requiring flexible evening, weekend, and holiday availability. The position starts on or after 11/2/2026 and is expected to end approximately 90 days after the start date.

The role operates in an office environment and museum-type exhibit, using cleaning equipment and products to maintain public spaces, exhibits, and outdoor areas. The employee must comply with company and OSHA workplace safety protocols. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and does not require travel.

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.

• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuums and carpet-cleaning equipment.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and public spaces.
• Clean surfaces inside an art exhibit.
• Operate pressure washers and carpet extractors.
• Use a variety of cleaning products, including bleach and mild chemicals.
• Maintain outdoor areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on the building interior and exterior.
• Maintain records of maintenance schedules and services performed.
• Recognize and respond to unsafe situations to help ensure the safety of themselves and others.
