About The Position

MAC PROPERTY MANAGEMENT LLC is seeking a Custodian responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a residential building and its surrounding premises. This role involves cleaning various surfaces and areas, managing cleaning equipment, handling waste disposal, and ensuring the safety and security of the premises.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience performing custodial duties in residential, commercial, or institutional settings, including cleaning multiple floor types (wood, ceramic, concrete) with appropriate tools and chemical products.
• Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining commercial-grade custodial equipment, including vacuums (bagged and bagless), floor buffers/polishers, and carpet cleaning machines, with routine inspection, repair, and safe storage procedures.
• Demonstrated experience performing minor repairs to building fixtures and furniture, such as replacing light bulbs, tightening hardware, assembling furniture, and adjusting or replacing plumbing components.
• Demonstrated experience applying safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals, including PPE use, ventilation checks, hazard labeling, and spill or accident prevention.
• Demonstrated experience managing cleaning supply inventories, restocking restroom and locker room supplies, and implementing waste disposal and recycling practices in accordance with environmental standards.
• Must pass a drug test before beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of residential building and the surrounding premises.
• Clean floors, furniture, mirrors, doors, windows, carpets, and glass of common areas like restrooms and workout facilities.
• Perform sweeping, polishing surfaces, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning toilets, sinks, mirrors, and restocking supplies such as paper towels and soap.
• Manage the upkeep of cleaning equipment, including carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and vacuums.
• Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables.
• Ensure the safety and security of the premises by locking doors and windows after hours and reporting any maintenance issues.
