About The Position
The Custodian maintains a clean, safe, and orderly manufacturing environment. This role supports production by ensuring work areas, restrooms, offices, and common spaces meet facility cleanliness and safety standards.
Requirements
- Must be dependable and self-motivated.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Be able to contribute to and support the existence of a positive work environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
- Must attend, complete, and implement required in-house training.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum production floors, hallways, and office areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and locker rooms.
- Remove trash, recycling, and industrial waste following facility procedures.
- Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment.
- Restock supplies including paper products, soap, and PPE.
- Support spill cleanup and assist with basic hazard containment.
- Look for opportunities to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
- Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
- Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
- Shut down process if unsafe.
- Follow proper machine shutdown procedures (if/when needed.)
