About The Position

The Press Operator is responsible for the set-up and operation of press equipment. The employee must also monitor the process and quality of the product and make necessary corrections to the process to maintain a steady flow of quality products to the customer.

Requirements

Can pay attention to the operations of the machinery.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
Must attend, complete, and implement required in-house training.

Responsibilities

Manage the operation of all types of machines and work to ensure that they are well maintained.
Reads and interprets blueprints, tape measures, schedules, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating.
Sets up and operates fabricating machines according to the specifications.
Work to adjust and operate speed and control the load of the machines.
Monitor the finished products obtained to ensure the quality conforms to the specifications.
Monitor the working of the machine and report the need for improvement, defects or malfunctions, etc.
Operation of lifting devices as needed.
Maintain tools and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
Look for opportunities to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
Shut down process if unsafe.
Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.
