Requirements
- Must be dependable and self-motivated.

- Can pay attention to the operations of the machinery.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must attend, complete, and implement required in-house training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, tape measures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be willing to obtain Lvl II X-Ray certification (in-house certification.)
Responsibilities
- Performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests (NDT), and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.
- Setting up and calibrating equipment and interpreting and evaluating results with respect to applicable ASME codes, standards, and specifications.
- Being thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and exercising assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance.
- Reading prints and locating piece parts.
- Setting up operational parameters on the welding machine and monitoring.
- Making corrections as needed.
- Completing first article inspection before starting run.
- Monitoring product quality using required gages and inspection criteria.
- Conducting tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establishing techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Applying testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluating results.
- Interpreting radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators.
- Organizing and reporting test results.
- Operation of lifting devices as needed.
- Looking for opportunities to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
- Following all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
- Reading, understanding, and following the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
- Reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
- Shutting down process if unsafe.
- Following proper machine shutdown procedures.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
